We're on a quiet stretch of Ankeny in Portland's inner Southeast, where the espresso machine warms up before the neighborhood does and the roaster hums behind the bar most mornings.

Our monthly cupping is free and open to everyone — we taste three or four of the coffees we're roasting that season, side by side, and talk through what we're finding in the cup. Seats are limited to ten, so email us to reserve a spot. Barista Lena Ortiz usually leads the table.
Getting Here
Bus, bike, or on foot
By bus
TriMet line 14 stops at SE 24th & Ankeny, about a minute's walk from our door. Coming from downtown, the ride is roughly 15 minutes from Pioneer Square.
By car
Street parking on Ankeny is unmetered and usually available before 9:00. After that, the side streets toward Ash and Pine tend to open up. Please don't block the bike lane out front — our neighbors ride it daily.
By bike
Ankeny is a neighborhood greenway, so the ride in is easy. We have a six-bike staple rack right outside the window, and you're welcome to bring your helmet inside.
The Café
Coffee, a few good bites, and the roaster in plain sight
The café seats about 40 across the bar, a long communal table, and a handful of window spots that catch the morning sun. Our 12-kilo Diedrich roaster sits directly behind the bar, separated only by a low counter — if you come in on a Tuesday or Thursday, you'll likely catch Mara or Tomás mid-roast, and the whole room smells like it.
Espresso drinks are pulled on our two-group La Marzocco with the House Blend, and the pour-over menu rotates with whatever single origins we're most excited about that week — ask the bar what's tasting best. Everything we serve is also available by the bag on our Coffees page, and the café shelves carry the same retail bags if you'd rather take one home the same day.
